Friends and neighbors,

We have a unique opportunity to express our concern about the Bio Energy plant and the safety, health and well-being of our community by joining in "visibility" for the visit of
Laura Bush to Hopkinton on Thursday, October 21st from 1:00 to 3:00 pm at the Hopkinton Town Hall. The New Hampshire and national press corps will be covering her visit.

This is a golden opportunity to tell our story and be heard. REACH is going to hold a rally at Town Hall (or on nearby properties, 313 Main street or the public sidewalk across the street) so we can get our message out to the State and National media that will be there.

Joining REACH at the rally will be all the usual suspects plus two very special guests.

 The first is Congressman
Pete McCloskey from California. He is a republican environmentalist who ran for President in 1972 against Richard Nixon and now has serious concerns about the current administration environmental policies. He will use Bio Energy as an example of policies that can harm citizens.

Also, we will be privileged to have with us a
nationally known actor and environmentalist who will help us express our concerns about the future well-being of our families and communities.  It is no understatement to say that this guestŐs presence at our rally will knock your socks off, so make sure you are there to meet him.

We can only assume that Hopkinton has been chosen as a quintessential New Hampshire village for picturesque photo opportunities for the presidential campaign. Whatever your party affiliation or politics, we can all agree as neighbors and friends that our precious town is threatened by the failure of our government to enact and enforce meaningful environmental protection laws.

We do not intend to be confrontational ... to the contrary, we welcome Laura Bush to come to our town to discuss our deepest fears - the health and well-being of our children, our elders, our families and our community. Please don't miss this unique opportunity to raise these important issues.  We deserve answers.

The town hall will open at 12:00 PM and Mrs. Bush will speak at 1:00 PM.  Our special guests will arrive between 11:00 AM and noon. We are asking for you to arrive at 10:00 AMso we can be visible to the National media between 10:00 AM and 1:00 PM before Mrs. Bush arrives. Lets use this as a way to get our message out to the Nation.

Thank you for your support!
