French surgeons achieved transplant of nose grown on woman's arm to her face

French doctors have succeeded in growing a woman's nose on her arm and moving it to her face. She lost significant portion of it while receiving chemotherapy and radiation treatment for cancer of nasal cavity. Instead of cartilage, a custom nose was created using 3D-printed biomaterial. After that, it was implanted into woman's arm. After being given two months to mature, doctors then covered newly developing nose with a skin graft taken from her temple, then the organ was surgically transplanted into her face. Transplant was a success, and new nose was revascularized by anastomoses (surgical joining of two parts)
